In the final selection by the organists Pieter van Dijk and Frank van Wijk the performability of the requested works on the characteristic organs of the Grote St. Laurenskerk will be decisive. This final concert will guarantee a varied programme with surprising elements. |

The Gottfried Silbermann Organ Competition takes place in honour of the great Saxon organ builder. Its aim is to foster young organists who are engaged in the interpretation of organ music on historical organs.

Organ Academy
The Göteborg International Organ Academy is a biennial festival, organized by the Göteborg International Organ Academy Association in cooperation with the City of Göteborg and the University of Gothenburg. The next Göteborg International Organ Academy will be held 5 - 13 August 2011.
In the years between Academy festivals, the Association organizes events of a different scope and in different format: these might consist of a symposium, a concert series, workshops, lectures or any combination of the above. In 2010, an Organ Recital Series, celebrating ten years with the North German organ will be held 11-14 August

Orgelfest 09

Trondheim became a member of ECHO in 2009. During 1 week with 18 concerts, masterclasses, children programme and lectures, the festival will stand out with a wide and qualitatively strong artistic programme. Orgelfest 09 is a courageous and innovative festival both for the academic community and for the wide audience, and the main target is to increase the interest for church music and the organ. The festival is organized by Nidaros Cathedral and Our Lady's Church in cooperation with NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology).
