From 7 to 9 September 2026, Freiberg will become the centre of historic organ performance as the Gottfried Silbermann Society presents an international masterclass on the magnificent organs of Gottfried Silbermann.
Designed for university students and young professional organists, this unique course offers the rare opportunity to study with three renowned specialists: Henry Fairs, Jan Katzschke and Albrecht Koch. Participants will work on three authentic Silbermann organs in Freiberg's Cathedral of St. Mary, St. James' Church and St. Peter's Church, gaining first-hand insight into the sound, style and performance practice of one of history's greatest organ builders.
