ANONIMO VENETO
Chiesa di Sant'Andrea in Riva Treviso
Organ details
History
The organ, situated in the choir loft above the central door and enclosed in a wooden case with one span, is typical of the art of organ making in Veneto in the 18th century. The name of its builder is unknown, although features regarding construction criteria and measurements discovered during recent renovation work would place the instrument among those in the area of the works of Gaetano Callido and Francesco Dacci. Its appearance was altered by subsequent operations, demeaning the quality of its sound which were reinstated by the organ builder Franz Zanin from Camino al Tagliamento during renovation work carried out between 1982 and 1983.
