MARCUSSEN
Synagogue Göteborg
Organ details
History
In 1854 the Danish firm Marcussen & Søn built an organ for the Synagogue in Gothenburg with two manuals and pedal. The instrument was rebuilt and expanded in the 1930s by Olof Hammarberg. The second manual was completely renewed. This originally had three stops. The new windchest is pneumatic, and only the Viola da Gamba is taken from the old work. At the Huvudverk a Trumpet 8' was present with a transmission to the pedal. This rank has been removed. The pedal has been expanded by Hammarberg with three transmissions and a Fagott 16'.
