PABÓN Y BALDÉS

Parroquia de la Asunción de Nostra Señora Granada

Organ details

History

This organ is located in a dedicated gallery on the Gospel side of the church.
This is a Baroque instrument made by Salvador Pabón y Baldés in 1781, and subsequently reworked in 1885.
Its main façade is composed of three pipe castles, the central one being the tower and the largest pipe.
The side facades are chamfered, each having a castle that houses the wooden contraption pipe.
Below the front pipe, a horizontal Ave Maria tongue starts in two rows, the upper one being divided by the central tower.
According to consulted documentation, the console is window-shaped with a single worked and decorated keyboard, with a set of handles on each side and a group of counter-presses.
Keyboard transmissions and records would be mechanical.
The bellows are located in a room behind the organ.
Following its recent restoration, the instrument is fully operational for any religious or musical event.
