Altenburg 2025

On January 24, a press conference for Altenburg’s 2025 presidency was held in the Bach Hall of Schloss Altenburg. The event drew significant media attention, including radio, television, and newspapers. The conference was opened by Mayor André Neumann and museum director Roland Krischke.

A particularly touching and almost emotional moment was the handover of the ECHO organ pipe—symbolizing, for us, the Olympic flame—by Laurent Dietrich, Vice-Syndic of Fribourg, to André Neumann.

Following this, Nico Declerck, General Coordinator of ECHO, spoke about the organization, its achievements, and its future ambitions. The Artistic Directors, Johann Friedrich Röpke and Daniel Beilschmidt, then provided an overview of the activities planned in Altenburg for this festive year.

The press was subsequently invited to the church, where the magnificent Trost organ from 1739 came to life under the skilled hands and feet of Daniel Beilschmidt and Young Ambassador Kilian Homburg.

A highly successful press conference, heralding a fantastic year ahead!
