Juan María Pedrero

In the instrument that Francisco Alonso built in 2001 for the Parroquia del Salvador, one of the most important Spanish organists today, Juan María Pedrero, professor at the Granada Conservatory, offers an approach to the work of the greatest organ composer in history, Bach. From the majesty of the  Pièce d'Orgue BWV 572 to the expressive depth of An Wasserflüssen Babylon BWV 653, each work displays its technical and emotional richness. The Partite diverse sopra il Corale BWV 770 shows the maestro's inventiveness in the choral variation, while the Toccata BWV 564 dazzles with its virtuosity in the fantasticus style . The program culminates with the imposing Prelude and Fugue in E minor BWV 548, a monumental work that encapsulates his architectural and musical genius.
