History

Peter Adolph Albrechtsen (1805-1859) was a Danish-Norwegian organ builder , who carried out commissions in large parts of Norway . In total, he built 24 new organs in the country. The largest instrument was delivered to Nykirken in Bergen in 1853, and had 31 stops. Other important organs include the instruments he built for Mandal Church (1840), Hospital Church in Trondheim (1841), Strømsø Church (1845), and Slottskapellet in Oslo (1845).
