Kilian Homburg
Kilian Homburg, born 2000 in Bonn (Germany), studied church music with Prof. Martin Schmeding, Daniel Beilschmidt, Prof. Thomas Lennartz and Thomaskantor Andreas Reize at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig from October 2018 until summer 2024. In October 2024 he will start his organ concert exam studies with Prof. Martin Sturm at the University of Music “Franz Liszt” Weimar. He received many prizes at the "Jugend Musiziert" competition, won the young talent prize at the "7th Joseph Gabler Organ Competition 2018", the Bach Prize at the "Northern Ireland International Organ Competition 2019" and the first prize at the "XVIth International Gottfried Silbermann Organ Competition 2023". Since 2019 he is also a scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes. In addition, he plays many concerts at important festivals and organs such as St. Annen Annaberg-Buchholz, Bachfest Leipzig, Dresden Cathedral, Freiberg Cathedral and St. Wenzel Naumburg. He has taken part in master classes with a. o. Bine Bryndorf, Pieter Dierksen, Pieter van Dijk, Jörg Halubek, Ben van Oosten and Daniel Roth. Recordings on radio and television document his work.
