Marcin Kucharczyk
Marcin Kucharczyk (b. 1998) has fulfilled his master studies (2022, with distinction) at The Krzysztof Penderecki Academy/University of Music in Krakow as a member of the organ class of Prof. Dr. Dariusz Bąkowski-Kois. He was studying also under the supervision of Prof. Wolfgang Zerer, Prof. Menno van Delft and Prof. Matthias Neumann at Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg (within the programm Erasmus+).
In his intense activity as a young organ virtuoso he has already gained several spectacular successes: he was the 1st prize winner at 5th Organ Competition of Tarnów Diocese (2017), awarded the 3rd prize at 6th Romuald Sroczyński in memoriam Organ Competition in Poznań (2018), as well 1st prize at 7th Bronisław Rutkowski Organ Competition in Krakow (2019). He was also a finalist of the 7th International Organ Competition in Dudelange/Luxemburg (2019), the 1st prize winner of the 32nd International Organ Competition in Rumia/Poland (2020) and also the 1st prize winner of the 11th Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck International Organ Competition in Gdańsk (2021). Participated in numerous masterclasses conducted by world-famous organists. He has performed in prestigious places in Poland and abroad, including Antwerpen O.L.V.-Kathedraal, Hohe Domkirche St. Peter zu Trier, Grote of Sint-Bavokerk in Haarlem, Basilica Papale di San Paolo fuori le Mura in Rome, Cathedral of Our Lady in Tallinn, St. Mary Basilica in Krakow, Pfare Basilica in Poznań, The Rubinstein Philarmonic in Łódź, Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk, as well as during important festivals in Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Estonia, Lithuania, Italy and Hungary.
The lecturer of the Academy/University of Music in Krakow, where he is leading classes in organ playing as well as basso continuo and improvisation. In 2025 received a Doctor of Music degree.
