The ECHO competition in Leuven is off to an incredible start, with no fewer than 38 applications — an overwhelming success!
The jury, made up of Francesca Ajossa, Bernard Foccroulle, Luc Ponet, and Wim Winters, now faces the exciting challenge of selecting the 12 best candidates. These finalists will take part in the competition, which begins on 8 July, with the final on 11 July.
The winner will receive a €5,000 prize, generously offered by ECHO, as well as the prestigious title ECHO Young Organist of the Year 2027.
This title opens the door to at least 13 concerts across Europe, performed at major festivals and on some of the most beautiful historic organs — all made possible thanks to the Full City Members of ECHO.
An exciting summer lies ahead in Leuven!
