General Coordinator

Due to ECHO's continued growth, Nico Declerck has been appointed general coordinator. He is responsible for monitoring projects, financial oversight, improving internal operations and further expansion of ECHO. A job Nico looks forward to!

Nico Declerck studied the organ in Belgium (Antwerp) with Stanislas Deriemaeker and Joris Verdin. He followed masterclasses with Marie-Claire Alain, Bernard Foccroulle, Daniel Roth, Harald Vogel, Jos Van Immerseel en studied one year with Guy Bovet in Switzerland.
From 2001 to 2005 he was stage manager at the Bayreuther Festspiele where he could work with conductors like Pierre Boulez, Christian Thielemann and Andrew Davis and with directors like Christian Schlingensief and Keith Warner.
At the moment he is a stage manager at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen and he plays in Vorselaar on an exceptional 1852 Merklin-Schütze organ.
In 2017, Nico launched Organroxx Radio, 24/7 free organ music over the internet. Since then, the music stream has been logged in eight million times worldwide. Meanwhile, Organroxx Radio's library has 12,000 organ albums to broadcast, probably the largest collection in the world. With Organroxx, Nico produced more than 25 recordings.
He works for ECHO as communications manager since 2021.
In addition, Nico supervises several organ restorations as consultant.
