A few weeks ago, the ECHO Young Community came to life, driven by a group of ECHO Young Ambassadors. This idea emerged during the ECHO Symposium held in Leuven in February 2024 and is perfectly aligned with one of the core values of the ECHO network: supporting and encouraging the younger generation through various initiatives, such as organizing masterclasses or facilitating exchanges between conservatories.
The goal of the Young Ambassadors is to strengthen the ECHO network by introducing fresh skills, new ideas, and additional support to promote ECHO's initiatives. Furthermore, this network facilitates the transfer of knowledge between Artistic Directors (ADs) and the younger generation. The timing of this project is ideal, coinciding with the expansion of the ECHO network and the enthusiasm of a highly motivated younger generation.
One of the key objectives of the Young Ambassadors is to create a vibrant ECHO Young community composed of young organ students, organ builders, organ enthusiasts, researchers, and others. Ultimately, the goal is to spread knowledge of and foster interest in historical organs among a broader and younger audience, and to provide a platform for the younger generation to develop new skills and become more actively involved in the ECHO network and its ongoing activities.
The Young Ambassadors are featured on the ECHO website, so be sure to check them out and follow their distinctive Instagram and/or Facebook account.
