Chiesa Arcipretale di San Michele Arcangelo Treviso
Organ details
History
The organ was built in 1758 by Antonio Barbini, an organbuilder from Murano, for the church of S. Maria dei Servi in Venice. However, following the suppression of the Venetian Church during Napoleon’s age, the instrument was moved to Caselle in 1812 by the organbuilder Giacomo Bazzani. It is located in the choir loft above the main door and enclosed in a neo-classical style case. After some alterations carried out during the last two centuries, the instrument was totally restored to its original condition by the organbuilder Alfredo Piccinelli of Padua.
