Organ details

History

The organ, located in the choir loft over the central door, was built in 1780 by Antonio Barbini and Giovanni Pizzenardi and is enclosed in an ornate case with wood-carvings.
A plaque above the window console carries the following inscription: “d. Antonius Barbini et Joannes Pizzenardi fecerunt Anno MDCCLXXX. Beniaminus Zanini Anno MDCCCXC instauravit et ampliavit”.
The instrument has been subjected to a further restoration in a relatively recent period.
